I gaze at the starry sky
For the One up on high,
While picturing a man on bended knee
Smiling, proposing to me.
But I'm leery for that day,
And so to God I pray:

     "God- I love you so-
     I just want you to know
     The time is coming near
     And this is what I want to hear:
          'There's a little praising I need to do
          But I'll start with: I love you!
          You're exactly what I need,
          My soul's hunger you feed.
          With you, I'm free-
          You complete me.
          Nothing can stand in my way,
          In your arms I want to stay.
          I just have one thing to ask-
          When the time is right,
          Will you be my wife?...'
     And I bet you can guess
     That my answer will be YES!!!"

So I sit and ponder for a while
Until I can feel God smile.
