Title:   Tempeh Sausage and Golden Bean Gravy on Biscuits

1/2 batch Soy Buttermilk Biscuits
1/2 batch Sammy's Spice Tempeh Sausages
1 can (15 oz.) baby butter beans or other white beans- drained and rinsed
3/4 c vegetable stock
1/2 c onions- finely diced
1/4 c nutritional yeast flakes
1 T garlic- minced
1/2 t sea salt
1/4 t freshly ground black pepper
1/4 t rubbed (dried) sage
Directions:   1. Prepare Soy Buttermilk Biscuits and Sammy's Spicy Tempeh Sausages according to recipe instructions, and allow to cool slightly. Using your fingers, crumble sausage patter into a bowl, and set aside.

2. In a blender or food processor, add baby butter beans, vegetable stock, onions, nutritional yeast flakes, garlic, sea salt, black pepper and sage. Blend for 1 to 2 minutes or until smooth and creamy.

3. Transfer bean mixture to a small saucepan, and stir in crumbled sausage. Set the saucepan over low heat, and cook until heated through, stirring often.

4. Split biscuits in half, and place each individual serving on a plate, and top with desired amount of tempeh and bean gravy. Serve immediately.

You can also make just the gravy and serve over mashed potatoes, grains or vegetables- or add it to soups or stews to give them richness in flavor and texture.
