Ingredients: |
1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
1 t garlic granules or powder
1/2 t each: basil, oregano, thyme
2 green onions- thinly sliced
1 red bell pepper- diced
1 c chopped mushrooms
6 pieces pita bread

Directions: | Preheat the oven to 375F. Combine the tomato sauce, tomato paste, garlic granules and herbs. Prepare the vegetables as directed. For each pizza, turn a piece of pita bread upside down and spread it with sauce. Top with chopped vegetables. Place on a cookie sheet and bake until the edges are lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Note: You will only need about half the sauce for 6 pizzas. Refrigerate or freeze the remainder for use at another time. |
