Title:   Crispy Chickpea Cakes

1 can (15.5 oz.) chickpeas- drained
1/4 c wheat gulten flour or bread flour
3 T nutritional yeast
2 t kelp powder- optional
1 T lemon juice
1 t Old Bay Seasoning
1/2 t garlic powder
1/2 t onion powder
1/2 t dry mustard
1/4 t cayenne pepper
Sea salt and pepper- to taste
1/2 c dried clean or homemade bread crumbs
Olive oil for frying
Directions:   Place the chickpeas in a bowl and mash well. Add the remaining ingredients, except the bread crumbs and oil. Mix well. Pour the bread crumbs into a shallow dish. With wet hands, form the chickpea mixture into 8 small patties and dredge each in the bread crumbs. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook until browned on both sides. Serve hot.
