1 large onion- chopped
1 pckg. (8 oz.) Stripples vegetarian bacon strips
1 pckg. (8 oz.) soy links
3 cans (16 oz.) vegetarian baked beans
1 can (16 oz.) butter lima beans or garbanzo beans- drained
1 can (16 oz.) kidney beans- drained and rinsed
1 c clean ketchup
3 T white or apple cider vinegar
2 t liquid smoke
1/4 c agave nectar or honey
|Directions:||Saute onion in a frying pan. Remove to a large bowl. Using the same pan, saute the vegetarian bacon 4 to 5 minutes on each side. Saute the soy links 4 to 5 minutes total. Set aside to cool; cut into bite-size pieces.
In the same bowl as the onions, add the bacon and soy links, beans, ketchup, vinegar, liquid smoke and agave. Transfer this to a crockpot and cook on high for about 4 hours, stirring occasionally. Or simmer it for 1 to 2 hours in a large stockpot on the stove.
