As many full bulbs of garlic as you like
Extra virgin olive oil
|Directions:||1. Preheat oven to 440F. Using a sharp knife, cut off the pointed end of the garlic bulb, exposing the flesh. Remove the loose papery skins but not all the skin. Arrange the bulb(s) in a shallow baking dish. Drizzle olive oil over each bulb. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes or until the bulbs appear soft and golden in color.
2. Remove from the oven and turn cooked bulbs over, flesh side down. This allows the cooked garlic flesh to absorb the olive oil.
3. To use: squeeze the soft garlic out of the skins once the bulbs have cooled down. Place cooked flesh in a small colorful dish and serve with a hot meal. This is an excellent alternative to butter and will impress guests at a dinner party.
