Ingredients: |
2 lb. beef chuck- cut into cubes
2 T shortening or oil
4 c boiling water
1 t worcestershire sauce
1 medium onion- slice
1 T salt
1/2 t pepper
Dash allspice or cloves
1 T lemon juice
1 clove garlic
1 to 2 bay leaves
1 t sugar
1/2 t paprika
6 carrots
Peas
Potatoes

Directions: | Simmer 2 hours except peas and potatoes. Add peas and potatoes, simmer 30 minutes longer. Thicken gravy. |
