Title:   MacGregor Ice Cream [Iva's]

3 c sugar
1/2 c flour
9 egg yolks- beaten
1 quart milk or half-and-half
2 t vanilla
1 pint whipping cream
Directions:   Mix together sugar and flour. Add egg yolks (if too stiff, add a few drops of milk). Scald milk or half-and-half; pour slowly into yolk mixture. Pour back into kettle and stir constantly until boils well (3 to 5 minutes). Set aside to cool 2 hours in a glass dish. Pour mixture into freezer container. Add vanilla and whipping cream, then add enough milk to almost fill container. Freeze.
Makes:   1 1/2 gallons
