Title:   Miner Almond Joys/ Mounds

2 c corn syrup
1 c sugar
2 pckg coconut
Directions:   Heat corn syrup and sugar to boiling (225F). Add coconut and stir. Put in buttered pan, place almonds on top and let cool. Cut [shape in balls if desired] and dip in shortening and semisweet chocolate chips melted together- or melted baking chocolate.
